Fort Lauderdale Boat Show
The 52nd annual Fort Lauderdale Boat Show took place on October 28, 2011. Mother Nature may not have smiled down on the boat show, but despite the rain many exhibitors reported sales and solid leads coming out of the five-day event. "The Fort Lauderdale office closed several loans resulting from the boat show, and business continues to be strong this month due to sales from the boat show." Melanie Jolles, Regional Sales Manager. The Annapolis Sailboat and Powerboat Show
The Annapolis Sail Boat Show which was held on October 6th - 10th and the Annapolis Power Boat held October 13th - 16th attracts more than 50,000 boating enthusiasts to Annapolis Maryland. These two shows are a great opportunity to learn more about boating and check out all the newest models for both sailboats and powerboats. Newport International Boat Show
The 41st Annual Newport International Boat show was held September 15th-18th. The show featured the largest selection of both sail and powerboats in the Northeast and proved to be a strong start to the fall boat show season. Norwalk International Boat Show
The 34th annual Norwalk International Boat Show was held September 22nd-25th Norwalk Cove Marina. It featured 750 boats on land and on water with the newest and best in luxury motor yachts, sailing yachts, sport fishers, performance boats and more. San Diego Yacht and Boat Show
The 8th Annual San Diego Yacht and Boat Show was held at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina and featured 85 - 100 boats. "It was a good opportunity to see the out of state buyers from Arizona and Nevada. When it's 100+ degrees in the desert they can come to San Diego for some lovely 70 degree weather." Sailquest Mystic Boat Show
The first ever SailQuest Mystic Boat Show organized by WindCheck Magazine, included sailboats, trawlers, Downeast style power and select brokerage yachts from 20 to over 50 feet long, as well as several land exhibits.

New England Boat Show
Attendance at the 55th annual New England Boat Show, which ran from Feb. 26 through Sunday at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center, was up 5 percent from last year, the National Marine Manufacturers Association reported. The nine-day event attracted 43,068 people, an increase from 41,028 in 2010.
"Similar to what we've been seeing across all winter shows, the atmosphere was upbeat, with many exhibitors reporting stronger sales" the NMMA said. The Miami International Boat Show closed with 104,168 in attendance, according to show organizers. That represents a 14 percent increase over 2010, when the show attracted 91,415. According to organizers, exhibitors from both shows reported strong buying crowds and increased sales. Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show
Attendance at this year's Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, was better than last year, according to show organizer.
Many exhibitors reported strong interest from the crowds, with many touting large increases in the number of boats sold at the show, compared with the past few years. "The attendance seems to be strong and many of our brokers called it the best show in at least three years. Our clients were definitely in a more positive mood about shopping for new models and new boats and asking us about our low rates for purchase or refinance".
